The Vancouver Ballet Society Library and Archives is a read-in library which offers all members of the public access to the extensive collection. From Broadway to ballet, biographies and more the Vancouver Ballet Society Library is a fabulous resource library.
The Library is open daily from 10am-3pm. Hours outside of these times are available upon request. Special appointments for the reading room can be made through the Vancouver Ballet Society office. Photocopies of material are permitted in accordance with copyright law and are available for $0.25/copy. The library is open to all members of the community with an interest in dance and dance history.
The focus of the VBS collection is their paper records (approximately 20 linear metres), including material related to dance workshops from the late 1950s to the present, as well as clippings, programmes, and posters. The VBS also has approximately 15 linear metres of periodicals, 15 metres of books, and 2 metres of photographs, as well as a few videos and costumes.

The Vancouver Ballet Society and its Archives are run by volunteers. It maintains a reference room available for archival consultation.
